Bought a vintage minute minder timer and
a Mirro stove timer both with Lux movements.
One was a Robertshaw Lux and the other
was just the old lux time movement.
The mounting holes from the movement is the
same as they used on the chambers.
Sam [uncertain] said the ring would be
    different and he was right.
Also the knob mount on the timer is a different
    style from the chambers.
If you had a hole for a timer and nothing to
go in it you could plug it with one of these
and mayby paint the Knob with chrome paint
and get by until you could do better.
I am going to take the timers and the
dead original and see if my buddy the
hobbiest clock tinker can use the main
spring to get the original going. I know
that I could pay the $80.00 to the Clock
Stove Man and be through with it. That
would be too easy, I may save a buck and I
may not. This way I will have a good visit
with a friend that I don't get to see very
often and he owes me for Mounting and
hooking up a satelite on his RV a couple
of years ago. I really didn't do the
actual work, I co-ordinated one of my sons
and Mr Russell and I visited while he hooked
it up and checked it out.

Hey Pokie, Have you astually mounted one in a Chambers? About a year ago I found some new timers that looked like just the right fix except the shaft was different. I spent 100 bucks getting a machinist to make me some adapter shafts and thought everything was ready to go. Right ring, original knob fit. Well, I tried to fit it in the hole and it was too big to fit through the hole in the frame. Keep up the good work, This cat can be skinned!

Yes both timers fit in the cut out hole and the
mounting screws Lined up perfectly with the cut
out on the chambers 61C that will be my finished
    project.
How ever I a going to take them to my friend and
see if he can swap the main spring into my original
    chambers.
The Lux Robertshaw in an aluminum housing with a
white plastic knob is the closer looking match of
the two. Just outside of timer. I will let
my friend check it out. The Older of the two
Clockworks is not near as complex as the original.
Mr Russell had bent the three ears holding the
case together after the bell cover had been removed, Marked the position with scratches where
each piece came from so it would go back together
in the right order. The old mirro minute minder
with just the lux clockworks came with two brocken
retainer clips so I looked at those works.
As I said they are a long way from the original
but the main spring looks to be the same.
Where there is a will There is a way.
